The third year of the prestigious Educate to Innovate School Business Award was announced in Gorey Business Park by Jim Hughes CEO of Innovate.  Hughes commented “We are delighted to sponsor the programme and to work with Gorey Chamber in delivering it.. We believe in nurturing enterprise at school level and are confident that this year’s final will attain as high a standard as previously.”

Three schools based in North Wexford and South Wicklow are pitting their skills against each other with Colaiste Bhride Carnew, Gorey Community School and FCJ Bunclody all participating. The criteria for this year’s award which will focus on the Transition Year at each school will be Growth Potential, Employment, Sustainability and Environmentally friendly.

This year’s final will be held in the Amber Springs Hotel in May 2014 with a judging panel of high profile local business people selecting this year’s winner.

Speaking at the announcement Dick White of Gorey Chamber noted “It’s great that Innovate have decided to sponsor these Awards again. Working with the schools for all our staff, mentors and judges is a great honor we are delighted to share our expertise with the future generation and look forward to seeing some of them creating and opening business here in North Wexford in the future.”
