Do you know anyone who has an idea or project aimed at tackling a social problem, who may like to apply for funding and support? We are writing to let you know that the deadline is approaching for applications to the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Awards.  Social Entrepreneurs Ireland has 300,000 euro in funding and support available through our two programmes: The Academy for Social Entrepreneurs and the Social Entrepreneurs Ireland Awards, supported by DCC plc. We are calling for applications from people with innovative ideas and projects to solve social problems in Ireland to apply today to socialentrepreneurs.ie 

Applications for both programmes close on March 29th, 2017. We are reaching out to you in hope that you will share this information with those in your constituency and network who could benefit from this funding and support, encouraging them to apply.

Social Entrepreneurs Ireland has a whole range of supports for social entrepreneurs from start-up to scale-up. The call is for people with early-stage ideas right through to people who are ready to grow and scale their existing organisations, to apply at socialentrepreneurs.ie. 

The eight Award winners will join Ireland’s largest network of social entrepreneurs. As well as an immediate 10,000 euro in unrestricted funding, they will receive a place on an accelerator programme worth 15,000 euro, with access to over 150 pro-bono supporters, coaches and mentors. The programme will explore options for further funding and support from Social Entrepreneurs Ireland, which historically ranges from 20,000 to 300,000 euro in value.   

Those with early stage ideas are encouraged to apply to the Academy programme. The fifteen winners in The Academy will receive a place on a support programme to help kick-start their idea and successful participants will be given an opportunity to pitch for up to €5,000 at the completion of their 5 month programme.
