Exceptional Summer Weather Lifts Retail Growth in 2nd Q to June 2018

2nd Quarter results from Retail Ireland are showing a 3.4% growth rate according to the IBEC retail sector representative group. The rise is mainly attributed to the fine weather spell during the quarter.   Gorey’s appearance on RTE’s Six One News was one of the most-watched videos on the national broadcaster’s social media channels in July. Over 100,000 people watched the online clip which featured local businesses like La Creme boutique, Innovate, the M11 Business Campus and Gorey Chamber CEO Diarmuid Devereaux. Whelans Pharmacy, Gorey has been nominated a finalist in the ‘Pharmacy of the Year’ category of the inaugural Irish Independent Retail Awards 2018.
