MINDFULNESS BASED TRAINING for STRESS REDUCTION

(New course Starting Monday 11th June Gorey, Wexford)

In this official MBSR Stress Reduction course, instruction in three formal techniques is given, mindfulness meditation, body scanning and simple yoga postures. Participants are also required to practice daily for 45 mins. Guided audios are supplied for home practice. Participants also receive an official MBSR manual. 

Over the 8 weeks participants learn about correct sitting postures, and build their capacity to ‘Be With’ sensations, sounds, thoughts and emotions. The culture of the group is highly supportive, open and non-judgmental.

Participants practice mindful movement, mindful communication, and mindfuleating, as well as exploring the relationship between stress triggers and our ability to move from habitual reactions towards mindful response.

Weekly 2hr 30 mins group classes are held, with a one-day retreat (six-hour mindfulness practice) between sessions six and seven.
